Karnataka Postal Circle Introduces 12 New Permanent Pictorial Cancellations.
Karnataka Postal Circle is introducing 12 new Permanent Pictorial Cancellations (PPCs) to commemorate "Karnataka Sambhrama - 50". These special postmarks will be released virtually on November 26, 2024, featuring unique pictorial imprints representing various historical, religious, and local landmarks. The Postmaster General, Bengaluru, will release these PPCs simultaneously across different districts of the state during a virtual meet.
The 12 new PPCs will feature the following themes:
- Yadgir: Bonal Bird Sanctuary
- Koppal: Shri Gavi Siddeshwar Samsthana Shri Gavimath
- Gadag: Kumaravyasa
- Raichur: Shri Appannacharya Swamiji's house - Abode of Shri Guru Raghavendra Swamiji, Bichali
- Haveri: Shri Sharifa Shivayogi and Guru Govind Shivayogi Shishuvinahal
- Dharwad: Hubballi Unkal Lake
- Ballari (Sandur): Parvati - Kumaraswamy Temple
- Ballari: Ballari Fort
- Kalaburagi: Bara Gazi Tophu
- Udupi: Shankarapura Mallige (GI Tag)
- Udupi: Mattu Gulla (GI Tag)
- Bengaluru: Ashoka Pillar at Rajajinagar Gate
