The collection is consolidated electronically using web based software and payment is made centrally through Cheque from a specified Post Office of biller’s choice.
- Online Dash Board: Management of the collection is easy as e-Payment Biller will be given with User Name and Password, through which Biller can see MIS regarding the payments. And all the payments can be managed online. The MIS will contain the five fields of biller’s choice like name, telephone number, application number etc.
- Wide Range of Collection Points: The service is currently available through more than 14,000 Post Offices across the country. There is no agency in the market today with a large reach and established trust as the Post Office where the public can comfortably deposit all their bills in their neighborhood. (India Post is Largest Postal Network in the World). And if you operating at National Level and wants to collect the bills/Payments from all over the country you have apply for National Biller ID or if operate only in any specified state then you have to apply for Circle Biller ID.
- Contact: Any organization can contact either The Chief General Manager, Business Development & Marketing Directorate, New Delhi at national level or The Chief Postmaster General of the concerned postal circle with their business proposal and filled-in proforma for creation of biller id. Once the proposal is accepted by India Post, User id & Password and Biller Id Number will be generated through system and informed to the biller through e-mail automatically.
