National Level Letter Writing Competition

National Level Letter writing competition 

       Department of Post holding National Level Letter writing competition  under 'Dhai Akhar' campaign every year  on different themes to promote the  letter writing skill among   the school and college students and the public. Anyone can participate in this competition, Prizes will be given  based on two factors fisrt one on the base of age and second one is the Stationery used for writing the letter.

      This year  also Department of Post holding National level 'Dhai Akhar' letter writing  campaign  for the financial year  2019-20. The  details about the theme, conditions and word limits, are furnished below.

Theme:

"Dear Bapu, You are immortal". "  "प्रिया बापू ऑफ अमर है|",  "ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಬಾಪು  ನೀವು ಅಮರ". 

Time Frame:

      The campaign have been already started from 01.08.2019  and the last date for posting of letter for this campaign by the  participant  will be 30.11.2019.   The letter posted after due date will not be accepted for the competition.

Categories:

(i)  Up to 18 years:

      (a)   Inland Letter card category

      (b)   envelope category

(ii)  Above 18 years:

      (a)   Inland Letter card category

      (b)   envelope category

World limit:  The Letter can be written on the plain A4 size paper with the word limit of not more than 1000 Words, under  envelope category or   an Inland Letter card with a word limit of not more than 500 words for ILC category.  Only handwritten letters will be accepted.

Permitted stationery:

1.  The  embossed envelope/envelope with required stamp  affixed. 

2.  Inland Letter card(ILC)

Language:

   Letter can be written in English, Hindi or any other Regional language.  And the best part of this competition is, you can write a letter at your home by taking your own time but within the due date.

Prizes:

The proposed prize money to be given to the winners of level and national level letter category  are as follows.

Other important instructions for  participants

# All the ILCs/Envelopes posted for this competition should invariably be superscribed as "Dhai Akhar 2019-20" under superscription age declaration should be written As "I certify that I am below/ above the age of 18 as on 01.01.2019"

#   The ILCs/Envelopes have to be addressed to The Senior Superintendent/ Superintendent of Post Offices  of the concerned Division.   You can collect the address by visiting nearest post office.

#  Letter should be posted in the separate Post Box provided at Post Office or handed over to the Post master of concerned Post Offices. 

     By writing the letter to Mahatma,  you  can tribute to " The Father of Nation".  And a chance to win cash prize. Don't forget to  write a letter. 

   The Principal and Administrators of  Schools and Colleges  can use this opportunity to celebrate "Gandhi Jayanthi" meaningfully.
